Woman wants male for her 100th birthday party
Woman wants male str****r for her 100th birthday party, A WOMAN who turned 100 has had her one birthday wish come true of seeing a male for the first time.

When Clare Ormiston's relatives asked her what she wanted for her forthcoming 100th birthday, they weren’t prepared for her cheeky reply.

The centenarian-to-be wasn’t content with just a card from the Queen and some nice classical music – she wanted a male str****r instead, the Mirror newspaper reports.

Clare’s daughter Marguerite recalled: “We asked mum in June what she wanted for her party. And she came up with a couple of suggestions. Woman wants male for her 100th birthday party,

“The first one was actually ‘a seat on the moon’. Seeing as that was pretty impossible I said, ‘What about something else?’.

“I couldn’t believe it. She’s got a wicked sense of humour – I nearly fell off my chair.”

Mule Deer Attack

Mule Deer Attack
Mule Deer Attack, A local man and woman are recovering from a deer attack near Preston. According to a news release issued by Idaho Fish and Game, Sue Panter was walking near her home in Whitney Friday morning when she saw two deer cross her path about 100 yards ahead.
The buck at first walked parallel to Whitney but then he began to close the distance. Panter started to yell and even threw gravel to discourage the attack. But the deer knocked Panter to the ground and started raking her body with his antlers.

Panter tried to play dead but the deer continued to gore her legs. Now feeling she had to fight back Panter grabbed the deer antlers and fought to keep the deer's head away from her own head. Mule Deer Attack,

Around that time Michael Vaughan and his 17-year-old daughter Alexis were driving down the road when Alexis saw the attack. She jumped out of the SUV and started punching the deer. Michael joined in the fray and grabbed the deer by the antlers. Freed from the attack, Panter got into the SUV.

Mule Deer Attack, The deer had now turned its attention to Michael. At the urging of her father, Alexis grabbed a hammer from the vehicle and started striking the deer. Finally the deer stepped back and ran off.

Michael Vaughan and Sue Panter were treated for puncture wounds, scratches, and bruises in Preston and released the same day.

Sue's husband, Scott Panter, said his wife still trying to come to understand what happened.

“She has a difficult time even talking about it,” Panter said. “We are all in shock and cannot believe this happened.”

Panter added, "I am so grateful for the Vaughans. I don’t know how I am going to repay them.”

Michael Vaughan said that he was glad that he and his daughter were at the right place at the right time. “If we hadn’t come up on [Panter] when we did, it could have been so much worse. I don’t think she would have made it.”

Blake Phillips, Regional Conservation Officer for Fish and Game’s southeast region, says that it is not known for certain why this mule deer buck attacked Panter, however behavior like this is typical of deer which have been hand-raised or “tamed” by people. Mule Deer Attack,

Venison ice cream

Venison ice cream
Venison ice cream, A Scottish restaurant has come up with the first venison ice cream in the world. The chef who is responsible for the invention says he got lucky with the creation. The creation was made when local chef Julien Miran decided to take part in a contest organized by the restaurant Cow Shed. The contest was to honor this year’s Royal Deeside and Cairngorms Venison Festival. The delicacy has indeed turned out to be a hit because several of the customers who have tasted it say they like it. Venison ice cream,

Miran told reporters that, “We were just trying to make something different from the usual venison dish and thought about ice cream. Venison and juniper berries work together very well for a main course so we thought it could be nice as well for ice cream.”

Miran came up with the dish after he mixed the venison and milk. After he got the resulting product, Miran turned it into ice and placed it on a cone for an ice cream. After his creation, Miran admitted that though it did taste good, he wouldn’t take it as a dessert because it was too heavy. He suggested that it should be added to the main course. Escaped pet birds teach wild birds English

Escaped pet birds teach wild birds English
Escaped pet birds teach wild birds English. Escaped Pet Birds Are Teaching Wild Birds to Speak English across Australia writes treehugger. Across parts of Australia, reports have been pouring in of strange voices chattering high in the treetops -- mysterious, non-sensical conversations in English. But while this phenomenon is certainly quite odd, its explanation isn't paranormal. It turns out that escaped pet birds, namely parrots and cockatoos, have begun teaching their wild bird counterparts a bit of the language they picked up from their time in captivity -- and, according to witnesses, that includes more than a few expletives.

Jaynia Sladek, an ornithologist from the Australian Museum, says that some birds are just natural mimickers, able to acquire new sounds based on things they hear around them. For birds kept as pets, these sounds tend to mirror human language -- but that influence doesn't cease even after said birds escape or are released back into the wild.

Once back in their natural environments, these chatty ex-pets eventually join with wild birds who, in turn, start picking up the new words and sounds. The remnants of that language also eventually gets passed along to the escaped birds' offspring, much like it does for humans.

"There's no reason why, if one comes into the flock with words, [then] another member of the flock wouldn't pick it up as well," Sladek said in an interview with Australian Geographic.

According to the report, 'Hello cockie' is one of the most commonly heard phrases feral birds are teaching in the wild, along with a host of expletives -- perhaps the last words those escapees heard after their frantic owners realized they were making a break for freedom.

Child Cow Milk

Child Cow Milk
Child Cow Milk. An 18-month-old Cambodian boy who has suckled milk directly from a cow daily for more than a month is in fine health, the child's grandfather said on Sunday. The boy, Tha Sophat, made international headlines after his grandfather revealed he had been feeding himself directly from a cow since July when a storm destroyed his home storm and his parents left for Thailand to find work.

After he stopped breast-feeding from his mother, the boy became ill, said the 46-year-old grandfather.

The boy watched a calf nurse from its mother, and began to do the same thing, feeding direcly from the cow each day, Um Oeung added. When the grandfather pulled him away, the boy cried, so he let him continue, Um Oeung told Reuters.

Neighbours and local officials in the village of Pheas in Siem Reap province, about 315 km (195 miles) from the capital Phnom Penh, say they are not happy about the nursing.

"They blame me and have told me not to allow him to suckle from the cow anymore. They say the boy will be ashamed when he grows up and that he will be naughty," he said.

Since Saturday, he has limited the suckling to once a day.

"His health is fine, he is strong and he doesn't have diarrhea," said Um Oeung.

Gumby robbery

Gumby robbery
Gumby robbery.A person dressed as Gumby walked into a Southern California convenience store, claiming to have a gun and demanding money, but costume trouble and a skeptical clerk thwarted the would-be robber.Surveillance video shows someone — police think it was a man — in a bulky, green costume and another man entering 7-Eleven in Rancho Penasquitos early Monday.

Gumby demanded money, but the store clerk thought it was a joke and ignored the life-size Claymation character, telling him he was cleaning up and didn't have time to waste, said San Diego police Detective Gary Hassen.

"You don't think this is a robbery? I have a gun," the costumed man said, fumbling inside his costume as if trying to retrieve a weapon, Hassen said.

But the green-gloves seemed to get in the way, and rather than pull a gun, he dropped 26 cents on the floor, Hassen said.

The video shows the second man, who came in with the Gumby suspect, but was not dressed as Pokey, walk out of the store.

The costumed character "can't pick up the money and he can't get the gun," Hassen said. So when the other man pulls up in front of the store and honks, the would-be robber runs to the white or silver minivan and takes off, Hassen said.

San Diego's KGTV News reported that the clerk told his boss he didn't know who Gumby was and described the character in the store as a "green SpongeBob SquarePants."

The clerk didn't report the encounter, but his boss called police after viewing the surveillance tape several hours later.

Police are taking the attempted theft very seriously, Hassen said.

It doesn't matter if a potential robber is wearing a ski mask, a bandanna, a hoodie or a big, green head — it's still a disguise, he said.

A reward of up to $1,000 is being offered by Crime Stoppers.

No other Gumby thefts have been reported in the area, Hassen said.

There have been no arrests, but police hope the surveillance tape will change that. People may not recognize the person under the Gumby suit, but his partner is very recognizable, Hassen said.

Police arrested the suspected stalker Monday, seizing several cell phones and computers from her home in Rotterdam.

Hague prosecution spokeswoman Nicolette Stoel said Thursday the woman argued to judges at a preliminary hearing she had a relationship with the man and the number of calls she placed to him wasn't excessive. The man denied they had a relationship.

The court ordered her not to contact him again.

Drunk Moose up tree

Drunk Moose up tree
Drunk moose up tree. Drunk moose stuck up tree after snaffling too many apples. A drunk Swedish moose got stuck up an apple tree and had to be cut free after an intoxicating evening foraging for fruit. The silly moose suffered the fate of many an intoxicated human after a night of heavy drinking - and found himself in a very embarrassing predicament.

Police believe the inebriated elk got into a state after eating fermented apples, and got stuck while trying to reach fruit higher up the tree.
The binge-drinking beast somehow managed to wedge itself into the branches of the tree with all four legs off the ground.
Fire crews had to chop down the tree to help free the animal from the branches.
Once free, the drunken deer staggered off into nearby woods, presumably to sleep off the effects of his big night out.

The moose was left physically unharmed by the incident but will probably have a cracking hangover to nurse, along with the embarrassing memory.

His friends'll have a field day over this one - 'remember the time Marvin got stuck in the tree? What an idiot.'

'Yeah, OK guys, whatever. That was ages ago, can you stop going on about it please?'

Maybe he won't be alone in his suffering though - drunken moose are said to be fairly common in Sweden, where they often eat fallen fruit that has fermented.

Man Steals Five Snakes

Man Steals Five Snakes
Man Steals Five Snakes. Two 19-year-old men have some explaining to do after one of them was bitten by a venomous snake that they admitted to stealing from a nature center.Travis Stotts and Dennis Watson of Clarksville, Indiana are expected to be arrested after they admitted entering O’Bannon Woods State Park Nature Center through an unlocked door and stealing an Eastern Massasauga rattlesnake.

Apparently one rattlesnake wasn’t enough, and on May 10 they returned for a second – a juvenile timber rattler, and that was where their plan came unstuck. In the process of capturing the snake, Stotts was bitten by what is described as one of the most dangerous species of snakes in North America.

Stotts was treated for the snakebite at Harrison County Hospital, and the pair were charged with felony theft, burglary and misdemeanor unlawful taking or possession of an endangered species soon after.
